Philosophy

All players deserve the right to equivalent playing time during the regular season as developmental games.  Players should develop at a small number of playing positions. Batting order is written in the way most likely to generate the most runs based on statistics.  All players need be developed to be capable of pitching. In highly competitive game circumstances the team will play to win.

Playing Season

The Bears are a member association of NCOBA and will play a full  game schedule in the 13U division with teams from the National Capital region.  This is expected be a 6 team league including Seaway, Bytown, Kanata, Tyrans Red, Tyrans Black and of course the Bears.

Tournaments

Local tournaments: 2: Seaway, Kanata

Away tournaments: 2-3: Montreal? Mississauga? Lake Placid? Determined by parent group.

Uniforms

Uniforms are player owned and purchased centrally by the team.  This allows players to have their own number and name on the back and keep that year over year.  A sharp look is provided by using the professional baseball affiliate South Bend Cubs logo and look.
