House A Program

While this is an in house program meaning that teams play against each other locally, the expectation is that players have had prior ball paying experience.  Players may have come from Rally Cap, Little League, Softball or even just playing with your family.  This is House "A" after all.

As this is the startup year for this program, we are limiting the number of teams per division to 4.  Where players live will be taken into account for the initial player draft to help satisfy friend requests and keep kids close to their communities.  Once you have been drafted onto a South Bend House team, we want you to stay with that team year over year.  This helps maximize friendships, consistency and player development.  For example, if your player is 2009 and is drafted onto the 11U Orioles team, then we will keep you on the 11U Orioles next year, and then the 13U Orioles the following two years.  Players will be able to request transfers at the beginning of the subsequent season if they want a change.  Team balance is maintained by drafting new players at the beginning of subsequent seasons.

Players in the house program are also eligible to play on a Select team in Summer if you would like to keep your baseball going at a higher level.  See the Select Program for more details.

Development of all players is important to the South Bend organization this is true in Rep, Select but also in House.  You will get coaches with NCCP training as well as time with our professional baseball trainer to give you the best possible start in these formative years.  You can expect your player to receive 20 development sessions and 12 games in the Spring May/June timeframe.  Full uniforms including jersey, pants and cap are yours to keep!  This practice to game ratio is in line with the Baseball Canada Long Term Athlete Development model.
