Coaches
Coaches in all programs are required to provide a current Police Records Check for Service with the Vulnerable sector. Each coach is also required to have NCCP training suitable for their program. Training requirements are set by Baseball Ontario. House league only require the NCCP Online for baseball.
Coaches require different levels of certification depending on the level of competition and age group coached. We expect that all courses that coaches need will be run in the National Capital region in the time period leading up to the start of the season or by the June 15th deadline.
South Bend provides support for all coaches. Our training coordinator assists all teams, Rep, Select and House with their training requirements. With college playing experience, they will be able to provide best practices for the modern training and coaching of youth players. Coaches will be reimbursed for their required NCCP clinics.

Rep Program
9U Rookie
Rep coaches who are new to coaching in Baseball Ontario get a one year grace period where they are only bound by the 9U rookie requirements in their first year. After one year, all coaches are expected to meet their coaching requirements for that division.
